Amazing Southern Peru 10D/9N LIM-CUZ-PTO MALDONADO
Day 1: Lima
Arrive at Jorge Chavez International Airport Transfer to your hotel Meals : None

Day 2: Lima
Breakfast at 7:00 a.m.

We will pick you up from the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and we will start our city tour. We are going to appreciate an architectural mixture given by the Colonial constructions and colonial temples.

History: The Peruvian Viceroyalty was the most important in the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. Known as City of the Kings. The highlights of its historical center are its architecture and urban design of the city, found in old streets filled with colonial houses, adorned with Moorish-style balconies.

  • Palacio de Gobierno (Government Palace)

  • Palacio Municipal (Municipal Palace)
  • Convento de San Francisco (Convento of Saint Francis): We will enter this beautiful convent which displays the biggest collection of religious art in America. We can admire the Choir Room and the Monk´s Library, the Sacristy; with its collection of Zurbaran and Rivera paintings. The Big Patio of the Main Cloister decorated with sevillan tiles from the XVI Century, its beautiful Moorish arches and its subterranean crypts known as the catacombs.


Once tour is over we will return to the hotel.

Day 3 Pachacamac - Lima
Breakfast at the hotel

Depart the hotel at 9:00 a.m. to Pachacamac. An amazing vast archaeological citadel of the deity Pachacamac, believed to be creator of the universe and a divinity adored by old Andean Civilizations.

We return to the hotel for leisure

Free afternoon. You could buy Peruvian handicrafts in the andean market. At night (7:00 pm) we will pick you up to take you to the Magic Water Circuit, recently inaugurated in the Reserve Park, has become one of the newest and most visited attraction in our city. Honored with a Guinness Record and unique in America, this circuit offers thirteen impressive fountains that combine movement, lights, sounds and images. An amazing show to enjoy with all the family.

The park is opened from Wednesday through sunday from 4:00PM – 10:30 pm

We will enjoy a Peruvian Folklore Show in a buffet restaurant which offers an amazing variety of Peruvian food.

Day 4 Cuzco
06:00 am o earlier. To be confirmed. You will be transferred to the airport to take your flight to Cuzco.

Arrival in Cuzco and received by our operator.

Transfer to your hotel and time to acclimatization, At 2:00 pm we will pick you up and start our city tour:

The Cathedral. - Colonial religious Monument of extraordinary artistic value, with its fabulous paintings and works "bread of gold", wood carved and covered with worked silver.

Temple of Koricancha. - "Temple of the Sun" its perfect architecture and the construction of stone reflects the fact that was the most important temple of the Inca empire.

Sacsayhuaman. - This construction is attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties; it is located to 3 km of Cusco, in the high part. According to the announcers, it was a solar portable altar; this temple was constructed with great limestone stone blocks to protect the city from the attacks of the invaders of the east or Antis. Sacsayhuaman (in quechua) is formed for three great terraces superposed in zigzag form and bordered by enormous rock walls.

Qenqo. - Located to 1 kilometer from Sacsayhuaman, it was a ceremonial center since a giant monolith, of an animal is possibly appraised in the central part, that it was the main deity, where offerings were placed. In the inferior part, are other hornacinas and an altar that was used to perhaps embalm bodies or for sacrifices dedicated to their Gods.

PucaPucara. - Old inn, sentry post throughout the Inca ways. Its construction is of rustic type conformed by side streets, houses, and patios.

Tambomachay. - It is located to 9 km of the city, known as the baths of the Inca by the form of their water sources, it also could be a temple dedicated to the cult of the water and purification for Inca. It has three platforms where offerings were placed.

Day 5: F/D Sacred Valley

At 7:00 am we will start our tour to Sacred Valley.

We will visit Ollantaytambo, Chinchero (if it is Tuesday, Thursday of Saturday)
After our 6 hours tour we will take you to your hotel for leisure

Day 6: F/D Machu Picchu in Backpacker Train Service
Breakfast 6:00 am). We will take you to the train station in Poroy, then we will leave from the station in the morning to the majestic city of Machupicchu, the time of trip is of approximately 3 hours and average, appreciating a diversity of natural landscapes in accordance to the existing ecological floors, we will descend by Valleys of Anta and Vilcanota, happening through Iscuchaca, Pachar, Ollantaytambo, we arrive at the Hot Water station, take the bus there to make the ascent by a zigzag way until a Machupicchu for 30 minutes. We will initiate the visit to the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu having observed the beautiful landscape and visiting the main ceremonial centers like: Temple of the Sun, Intiwanata" Astronomical observatory", Temple of the Pachamama, main Seat, Temple of the three windows, temple of the Condor, Sacred Rock, etc. The time of the guided visit is of 3 hours, at the end of which we will descend for the Hot Water town where we will have lunch.

After lunch we will take the train from Hot Waters (Aguas Calientes) to Cusco, the time of return trip is 4 hours, arrival to the city of Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7: Free day
Time to do some shopping, enjoy walking around the city. We recommend to use the most of your Tourist Ticket that allows you the free entrance to different museums. You will have time to eat in different restaurants in town.

Day 8 Puerto Maldonado

Transfer to the airport to take our flight to Puerto Maldonado

Arriving in Puerto Maldonado we will be transferred to our lodge one hour and a half by boat over the river. You will enjoy appreciating a diversity of wild animals, birds, and other species.

Day 9 Puerto Maldonado
Early in the morning before breakfast at 4:30 a.m. we will visit the small collpa where it is possible to appreciate parrots and macaws.

We will return to the lodge for breakfast.

After breakfast we will go by boat and then we will visit the Tres Chimbadas Lake. Then a ride in a native canoa watching the particular fauna and vegetation. In the afternoon we will walk around the trail of the lodge.

At night we will go out to look after caymans at the riverside together with our guide by boat.

Day 10: Puerto Maldonado
After breakfast our guide will take us to another side of the river to see and learn about medicinal plants that belongs to a shaman from Infierno native community and keep going back to the hotel for the last night in Puerto Maldonado.

After lunch we will visit the monkey island located one hour by boat down Madre de Dios River.

Day 11 Lima
After breakfast we will take you to the airport to take your flight to Lima.

Stay in the airport until your check-in of your flight back home.
